Our guided brewery tours offer a fascinating opportunity to explore selected areas of our working brewery, learn about the brewing process and experience the sights, sounds and smells of beer production.

Your knowledgeable guide will share insights into our brewing heritage and the skill and care involved in producing our beers.

The tour includes a beer tasting experience, and visitors are welcome to continue their visit afterwards in our Brewery Tap.

1. Tour information

Tour day: Thursday

Start time: 6:00pm

Arrival: At least 15 minutes before your tour

Duration: Approximately one hour, including the guided tour and beer tasting

Maximum participants: 12 per tour

All tours are subject to availability.

2. Arriving for your tour

Please arrive at least 15 minutes before your scheduled tour start time.

Our tours begin promptly and, unfortunately, we cannot delay the tour for visitors who arrive late.

Visitors arriving after the tour has commenced may be unable to join the group.

3. A working brewery environment

Camerons Brewery is a busy, operational brewing facility.

We are proud to offer visitors an opportunity to experience a working brewery, but this means that certain areas contain industrial equipment and potential hazards.

These may include:

  • Moving machinery and production equipment.
  • Hot surfaces, liquids and pipework.
  • Narrow walkways and restricted working areas.
  • Steep or open steps and staircases.
  • Uneven or potentially slippery surfaces.
  • Operational areas that are not open to visitors.

Your safety and the safety of our employees are extremely important.

Please follow all instructions given by your tour guide and brewery staff.

4. Footwear and clothing

Suitable footwear is mandatory for all brewery tour participants.

We recommend flat, sensible, fully enclosed shoes, boots or trainers.

The following footwear is not permitted:

  • Flip-flops.
  • Sandals or open-toed shoes.
  • Stilettos or high heels.
  • Any other footwear considered unsuitable for the brewery environment.

Long, loose or flowing clothing should also be avoided where it may create a safety hazard.

Visitors wearing unsuitable footwear or clothing may be refused access to operational areas or the tour itself.

Please ensure that everyone in your booking is aware of these requirements before attending.

5. Accessibility and physical demands

The tour route includes several flights of stairs, steep steps, narrow walkways and areas where seating is not available.

Visitors should expect to remain on their feet for approximately 45 minutes.

These features may present difficulties for visitors with reduced mobility, walking difficulties or other accessibility requirements.

If you have concerns about your ability to navigate the tour route safely, please contact Camerons Brewery before booking.

We will be happy to discuss the physical requirements, consider reasonable adjustments and advise whether suitable arrangements can be made.

6. Children and young visitors

For safety reasons, children under 12 years of age are not permitted on the brewery tour. This includes babies and children carried by adults.

Children aged 12–17 may attend when accompanied and appropriately supervised by a responsible adult.

Alcoholic drinks will not be served to visitors under 18 years of age.

Non-alcoholic drinks are available as an alternative.

Proof of age may be requested.

7. Staying with your tour guide

All visitors must remain with their designated tour group and guide throughout the brewery tour.

Some areas of the brewery are hazardous and are not included in the visitor route.

Please do not:

  • Leave the tour group without informing your guide.
  • Enter restricted or unauthorised areas.
  • Touch or interfere with machinery, equipment or brewing materials.
  • Remove any items from the brewery.
  • Interfere with the brewing process.

If you feel unwell, become uncomfortable or are unable to continue the tour, please inform your guide immediately.

Your guide will arrange for you to return safely to an appropriate area.

8. Food production and hygiene

The brewery is a food and drink production environment.

Visitors must observe all hygiene and safety instructions provided by brewery staff.

Please do not touch ingredients, production equipment, packaging or other materials unless expressly invited to do so by your guide.

If you have any concerns that may affect your ability to participate safely or comply with hygiene requirements, please speak to brewery staff before entering the operational areas.

9. Alcohol, smoking and behaviour

Visitors must not participate in the brewery tour while intoxicated or under the influence of drugs where this could compromise safety.

Smoking and vaping are prohibited inside the brewery and its operational areas.

Visitors must behave responsibly and follow all reasonable instructions given by brewery staff.

Camerons Brewery reserves the right to refuse admission or end a visitor’s participation where their conduct creates a safety risk or causes unreasonable disruption.

10. Beer tasting

The tour includes an opportunity to sample Camerons beers.

Alcoholic drinks will only be served to visitors aged 18 or over.

Visitors may be asked to provide proof of age.

Non-alcoholic alternatives are available for younger visitors and those who prefer not to drink alcohol.

All tastings are subject to responsible alcohol service requirements.

11. Changes for operational or safety reasons

As Camerons Brewery is a working production facility, certain areas may occasionally be unavailable because of brewing operations, maintenance or safety requirements.

Tour routes and arrangements may therefore be adjusted where reasonably necessary.

Our guides will always aim to provide an enjoyable and informative experience while maintaining appropriate safety standards.

12. Questions before your visit

If you have any questions about the tour, footwear, accessibility, age restrictions or other participation requirements, please contact us before booking.
